A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Cats sweat almost only through their paw pads, which is why a nervous cat can leave damp little prints on the vet's table. The Cat Paw Glass Cup leaves nothing behind but a cute paw at the bottom of your drink.

  • Real size — holds about 300 ml (10 oz); about 11 cm (4.3 in) tall and 7.4 cm (2.9 in) across the rim.
  • Frosted glass — a straight cup whose rounded bottom is shaped like a chubby cat paw, toe beans and all.
  • Three coats — Calico, Ginger Tabby or Black and White.
  • Made for cold drinks — iced coffee, milk, juice or plain water.

What you get
One glass cup in the coat you choose.

Care
Hand wash with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge. Avoid sudden temperature changes.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
