A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Jellyfish have drifted through the ocean for more than 500 million years, all without a brain or a heart. The Jellyfish Plush doesn't have those either, but it has plenty of frills.

  • Real size — the orange one is about 35 cm (13.8 in) long from the top of the bell to the tips of its tentacles, the pink one about 22 cm (8.7 in) and the short blue one about 17 cm (6.7 in) tall.
  • Three styles — bright orange with spiral arms, sheer white frills and thin trailing tentacles; pale pink with ruffled pink and mint arms and ribbon tentacles; or a short, puffy sky blue one under a sheer mesh layer.
  • Hang it or sit it — hang the orange one by the string on top, or sit the short blue one on a shelf.
  • Easy gift — for the ocean lover in your life (or for you, no judgment).

What you get
One jellyfish plush in the style you choose.

Care
Spot clean gently with a damp cloth, then let it air dry. Keep the frills away from heat.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
