In Brazil, capybaras are hit by cars every day. Many don't survive. The ones that do need urgent care — and that's where Projeto Capa comes in.

Projeto Capa is a wildlife rescue organization based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Their team rescues injured capybaras from roadsides, provides veterinary treatment and rehabilitation, and releases them back into nature. Since 2018, they've helped hundreds of animals get a second chance at life.

How does the running mechanism work?

No batteries, no electronics — pure physics. Grab the cow by the body, position its legs front-to-back, and bounce gently. Slow bounces create a walking gait; faster bouncing creates a full gallop. The weighted legs do all the work.
