A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Flamingos get their pink color from the algae and tiny shrimp they eat. These Striped Bird Socks get theirs from a stripe on the cuff.

  • Tiny embroidered bird — a flamingo, a penguin or a toucan stitched just below the cuff.
  • Sporty striped cuff — soft white cotton socks with a three-stripe cuff and a thin matching line across the toe.
  • Three styles — Flamingo (pink and blue stripes), Penguin (green and yellow) or Toucan (black and yellow).
  • One size — fits about US women's 4–10.5, men's 2.5–9 (EU 34–42). See the size chart.

What you get
One pair of socks in the style you choose.

Care
Machine wash cold, inside out, and air-dry.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
