A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Cows can see almost all the way around themselves, and this one still didn't spot the flying saucer coming. The UFO Cow Socks put a full cartoon abduction on each leg.

  • Space print — a navy starry sky, a gray flying saucer near the cuff and a rainbow beam down the leg lifting a black-and-white cow, plus a yellow crescent moon.
  • Two beams, one pair — one sock's beam is red, orange and yellow, the other's green, blue and purple.
  • One size, crew length — black heel and toe, made to fit most adult feet (see the size chart).
  • Easy gift — for the cow fan who keeps one eye on the sky.

What you get
One pair of socks.

Care
Machine wash cold inside out with similar colors. Hang to dry and skip the bleach.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
