A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Many whales lift their tail out of the water just before a deep dive. On the Whale Tail Mug, the tail stays up for good, as the handle.

  • Real size — holds 420 ml (14 oz); about 8.6 cm (3.4 in) across and 9.7 cm (3.8 in) tall.
  • Glossy ceramic — white, with short brushstroke dashes all around like rain on the sea.
  • A whale on the front — a raised 3D whale swims across the lower front, and its tail curls up to make the handle.
  • Two colors — Blue or Green.

What you get
One ceramic mug in the color you choose.

Care
Hand wash with warm, soapy water and dry with a soft towel. Avoid sudden temperature changes.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
