A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

In Scotland and Japan, a black cat is a sign of good luck. The Witch Hat Black Cat Mug brings its own hat for the occasion.

  • Real size — about 20.5 cm (8.1 in) tall with the hat on.
  • Ceramic black cat — a glossy sitting cat with pink inner ears, yellow almond eyes, a pink nose and a curled tail for a handle.
  • Witch hat lid — a pointed black hat with a dusty pink band, cut out to sit between the ears and keep your tea warm.
  • Easy gift — for the cat person who loves a cozy, slightly spooky evening.

What you get
One black cat mug and its witch hat lid.

Care
Hand wash the mug and lid with warm, soapy water and dry them gently.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
