A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

A sloth’s grip is so strong it can keep hanging from a branch while it sleeps. The Long Arm Sloth Plush has the arms for it, and none of the climbing.

  • Real size — about 30 cm (11.8 in) tall, with extra-long floppy arms and legs.
  • Shaggy fur — frosted tips, a cream face mask with brown stripes and a little dark nose.
  • Two colors — caramel brown or taupe gray.
  • Hangs out anywhere — drape its arms over a shelf, a bedpost or your shoulders.
  • Easy gift — a low-effort hug for the slowest person you know.

What you get
One long arm sloth plush in the color you choose.

Care
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let it air-dry.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
