A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

Description

Pumpkins are technically a fruit: they grow from a flower and carry their seeds inside. This one carries candy instead. Say hello to the Pumpkin Bucket Bag.

  • Real size — about 20 cm (7.9 in) wide and 13 cm (5.1 in) tall with a 13 cm (5.1 in) opening, plus a 15 cm (5.9 in) handle.
  • Jack-o'-lantern face — triangle eyes, a triangle nose and a toothy grin on the front.
  • Soft plush pumpkin — round shape with stitched ribs, a black handle and a black-and-white striped bow.
  • Three colors — Lilac, Orange or Pink.
  • Easy gift — fill it with candy, a small plush or a blind box.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
