A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

A whale's spout isn't a fountain of seawater: it's mostly warm breath puffed out through the blowhole on top of its head. The Spouting Whale Mug keeps a little spout of its own, right above the whale's head.

  • Real size — holds about 450 ml (15 oz); about 9 cm (3.5 in) across, 10.5 cm (4.1 in) tall and 14.5 cm (5.7 in) wide with the handle.
  • Glossy ceramic — a white mug with a raised 3D cartoon whale on the front, a painted spout above its head and a few wavy lines.
  • Tail handle — the whale's curved tail swings out to the side to make the handle.
  • Two colors — Yellow or Red.

What you get
One ceramic mug in the color you choose.

Care
Hand wash with warm, soapy water and dry with a soft towel. Avoid sudden temperature changes.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
