A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Pigeons puff up their feathers to trap warm air on cold days, which is how they end up looking perfectly round. The Chubby Pigeon Plush stays puffed up all year.

  • Real size — about 23 cm (9 in) tall.
  • Round and fluffy — a long-fur violet body, a lavender-gray head and an aqua neck band.
  • Little details — black bead eyes, a dark gray beak and charcoal wings with white stripes.
  • Squeezable — fits right in your hands, and on a desk, shelf or pillow.
  • Easy gift — for the pigeon fan in your life (they exist, and they are proud of it).

What you get
One chubby pigeon plush.

Care
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let it air-dry.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
