A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

The blue whale is the largest animal known to have ever lived. The Sleepy Whale Keychain is the pocket-size edition.

  • Real size — about 12 cm (4.7 in) long. Small enough to ride along on your keys.
  • Soft plush — a chubby whale with sleepy stitched eyes, little side fins, an upturned tail and a white grooved belly.
  • Three colors — navy, yellow or light blue.
  • Gold-tone clasp — a lobster clasp with a keyring for keys, backpack zippers and bag straps.

What you get
One whale keychain in the color you choose.

Care
Spot clean with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, then let it air dry.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
