A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Ducks spread oil from a gland near their tail over their feathers, so water just rolls right off. The Yellow Duck Plush skips the pond and stays fluffy on your bed.

  • Real size — about 20 cm (7.9 in) tall.
  • Classic bath-duck shape — a big round head, glossy black eyes, a wide orange beak and a little upturned tail.
  • Soft, short plush — bright sunny yellow and nice to squeeze.
  • Cheerful gift — a little sunshine for a desk, a shelf or a pillow pile.

What you get
One yellow duck plush, about 20 cm tall.

Care
Spot clean with a damp cloth and let it air-dry.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
