A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Capybaras can nap in the water with just their noses poking out. The Slow Rising Capybara Squishy is just as relaxed, and takes its time puffing back up.

  • Real size — about 10 cm (3.9 in) tall. Fits in one hand.
  • Slow rising — squeeze it flat and watch it slowly come back to shape.
  • Chubby capybara — a plump caramel capybara with a big dark snout, little ears and stubby feet.
  • Easy gift — for the capybara fan in your life (or for you, no judgment).

What you get
One slow rising capybara squishy.

Care
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Keep it away from sharp objects, direct sun and heat.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
