A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Real macaws can learn to copy human words, and some live for more than 50 years. The Talking Macaw Plush learns a lot faster: say something and it says it right back.

  • Real size — about 20 cm (7.9 in) tall.
  • Repeats what you say — it records what you say and repeats it right back.
  • Three colors — red with yellow and blue wings, green with a yellow belly, or blue with a golden belly.
  • Short soft plush — wings spread wide, a big curved beak and a long tail.
  • Desk buddy and prank partner — perfect for repeating whatever your roommate just said.

What you get
One talking macaw plush.

Care
Spot clean the surface with a slightly damp cloth. It has electronics inside, so never put it in water or the washing machine.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
