A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Cats sleep up to 16 hours a day, and some bats sleep almost 20. The Bat Cat Bag Charm is the best of both: it mostly just hangs around.

  • Real size — about 10 cm (3.9 in) tall.
  • Shaggy little cat-bat — long fluffy plush, small pointed ears, big round glossy eyes and two pointed shiny bat wings.
  • Three styles — Black Bat Cat (black carabiner and a short black strap loop), Bow Tie Bat Cat (gold eyes, a black-and-white bow tie, two white pompoms and a twisted cord loop) or White Bat Cat (white fur, turquoise eyes, a striped bow and a black clip).
  • Easy add-on — a tiny spooky friend for your bag, all year round.

What you get
One bat cat bag charm in the style you choose.

Care
Spot clean with a damp cloth and let it air dry. Do not machine wash.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
