A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Spiders feel the world through tiny hairs on their legs, which pick up even the faintest movement in the air. The Fuzzy Brown Spider Plush is mostly fuzz too, and much nicer to hold.

  • Real size — about 20 cm (7.9 in) long.
  • Fluffy chocolate-brown fur — a plump round body and short, chunky bent legs.
  • Funny little face — a fuzzy tan patch with four shiny bead eyes of different sizes.
  • Shelf or desk buddy — it lies flat on its chunky legs, made for a shelf, desk or bed.
  • Easy gift — for the person who is secretly into spiders (we see you).

What you get
One brown spider plush.

Care
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Let it air dry.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
