A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Jumping spiders have eight eyes, and the four on the front of their face, two big ones in the middle, give them some of the sharpest eyesight of any spider. The Four-Eyed Spider Plush is watching you, adoringly.

  • Real size — about 16 cm (6.3 in).
  • Four big eyes — glossy eyes with gold rims in a row, the middle two the biggest, and a tiny stitched zigzag smile.
  • Round and fuzzy — a domed body on short stubby legs, in soft fuzzy plush.
  • Three colors — Mint, Gray or Black (the Black one has slightly longer, shaggier legs).
  • Easy gift — a spider even arachnophobes might like.

What you get
One four-eyed spider plush in the color you choose.

Care
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Let it air dry.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
