A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

Some jaguars are born with an all-black coat, and their spots still show in bright sunlight. The Big Cat Cub Plush comes in three coats, spots optional.

  • Three colors — Spotted (golden with black spots), Black, or Golden (pale gold with faint spots).
  • Lifelike details — glossy eyes, round ears, chunky paws and a long tail.
  • Easy gift — for big cat fans and anyone building a jungle shelf.

One big cat cub plush in the color you pick.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
