A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Wild capybaras live in groups of 10 to 20, so it helps to know who is who. The Capybara Name Tag Keychain carries a little name label on its back.

  • Round fluffy face — soft camel-brown plush with tiny ears, sleepy embroidered eyes and a darker snout.
  • Name tag on the back — a white label you can write a name on, so your bag or keys are easy to spot.
  • Brown cord loop — slip it through a zipper pull, a bag handle or a keyring.
  • Easy gift — a small add-on for any capybara fan.

What you get
One capybara name tag keychain.

Care
Spot clean with a damp cloth. Let it air dry. Write on the tag with a permanent marker.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
