A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Emperor penguin chicks huddle together in big groups to stay warm through the Antarctic winter. The Hooded Penguin Plush skipped the huddle and brought its own hoodie.

  • Real size — about 25 cm (9.8 in) tall.
  • Cozy outfit — a fuzzy hooded jacket with a pompom, a zipper stripe and tiny pocket tabs.
  • Three colors — sky blue, pale pink or beige.
  • Penguin details — a gray head, a white face, black bead eyes and a little yellow-orange beak and feet.
  • Easy gift — for cold-weather people who still want something soft to hug.

What you get
One hooded penguin plush in the color you choose.

Care
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let it air-dry.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
