A Projeto CAPA volunteer feeding wild capybaras by the Pinheiros River in São Paulo

Projeto CAPA

São Paulo, Brazil

Projeto CAPA watches over the wild capybaras of São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, freeing them from trash and keeping them safe. The fences they installed cut road deaths from 15 in 2023 to 1 in 2026.

How we help real animals
Description

Tree frogs have sticky toe pads that let them hang on to leaves, even upside down. The Tree Frog Beanie only has to hang on to your head.

  • Real size — one size that fits heads about 55–60 cm (21.7–23.6 in) around.
  • Big tree frog — a bold frog design with a round eye and splayed, round-tipped toes climbs across the side.
  • Stretchy knit — a close, snug fit for cold mornings, commutes and weekend walks.
  • Three colors — Forest Green with a yellow frog, Red with a black frog, or Black with a white frog.

What you get
One beanie in the color you choose.

Care
Hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry.

Meet Projeto CAPA

Along São Paulo’s Pinheiros River, Projeto CAPA looks after the capybaras who live right beside one of the city’s busiest roads. With their partner Belgo, they put up a protective fence along the riverbank, and it is working.
